Abstract

With the growing demand for personalized, efficient, and technology-integrated teaching approaches, artificial intelligence tools are increasingly being considered as supportive mechanisms in academic settings. This research evaluates how such tools can streamline instructional processes, reduce administrative burden, and foster creativity in teaching and learning practices. A mixed-method research design was employed to provide a comprehensive assessment of the phenomenon. Quantitative data were collected through a structured survey administered to 100 teachers from both public and private schools, focusing on demographic characteristics and the use of artificial intelligence in lesson planning, grading, and student interaction. In addition, qualitative insights were obtained through 20 in-depth interviews conducted with educators and students to capture their experiences, perceptions, and concerns regarding the integration of artificial intelligence tools in education. Furthermore, simulated classroom scenarios were analyzed to evaluate the practical effectiveness of ChatGPT in improving instructional productivity. The findings indicate that the use of ChatGPT significantly reduces the time required for routine academic tasks, particularly in lesson preparation and written content development, thereby allowing educators to allocate more time to interactive teaching activities. Students also benefit from timely feedback and customized learning materials tailored to their individual needs. However, the results highlight important concerns, including the risk of overdependence on artificial intelligence and potential variability in the quality of generated content. This study concludes that while ChatGPT offers substantial advantages in improving efficiency and supporting educational processes, it should be utilized as a complementary tool rather than a replacement for traditional teaching methods, ensuring a balanced and responsible integration of technology in education.
