This paper examines the impact of generational development levels on the innovative development of Kazakhstan. The study identifies key parameters that influence both the development of human capital and the level of innovation within different regions of the country. Through this analysis, the direct relationship between human capital and regional innovation is established, and these findings are subsequently generalized to the national level. The analysis led to the classification of Kazakhstan's population into three distinct generations, each with varying levels of development. By utilizing official statistical data, the study demonstrates the significant influence that the development level of each generation has on the country’s overall innovative capacity. The results show that as the development level of a generation increases, so does its contribution to innovation within the country. The paper underscores the importance of human capital as a driving force behind innovation, suggesting that investment in the development of human capital across generations is critical for fostering sustained innovative growth. The findings highlight the need for targeted policies that enhance the skills and capabilities of different generational cohorts to maximize their potential contributions to the country’s innovative development. The study provides valuable insights into how the development levels of various generations can shape the innovative trajectory of a nation. For Kazakhstan, the results indicate that focusing on the development of human capital across all generations is essential for achieving a more dynamic and innovative economy. This research offers a framework for understanding the generational dynamics of innovation and serves as a foundation for future policy-making aimed at boosting national innovation through strategic human capital development.
